Who are your favorite climbers?
Shauna Coxsey, Alex Johnson and Megan Mascarenas all constantly inspire me to climb harder and have fun with it!
Favorite hobbies outside of climbing:
Dog-spotting, singing completely out of tune during car rides, watching/re-watching my favorite TV Series. (Seinfeld, Breaking Bad, Adventure Time, Futurama and Rick & Morty)
Something unique about you:
“I have two little pet rats, named Pinky and Algernon. Shortly after I got them, I brought them with me on a climbing trip to Rifle, in which they appropriated got the name “Crats” (crag rats!)
Why did you get into climbing?
I did climbing summer camps and went to the climbing gym occasionally on the weekend when I was a kid. However, I started climbing regularly when I joined a local team and began competing in the youth circuit in 2009.
What style of climbing do you specialize in?
Bouldering is my absolute favorite, but I also do a bunch of sport climbing, and have recently gotten into trad climbing!
Where is your favorite place to climb?
“Mt. Lemmon is my hometown favorite, but I also adore Bishop and anywhere I’m competing!”
Tell us about a memorable climb you have done:
When I was 13, I did my first multi-pitch climb. When I was repelling off, I got a chunk of my hair (maybe a fifth of my head) caught in the grigri, all the way to the roots. I was somewhere from 100-200 feet off the ground and I thought I'd have to rip it out to get down. Luckily, I ended up getting it out, but ever since then, there has been a running joke about me getting my hair stuck in grigris. (Which happens a little to often).
Favorite thing about STATIC's climbing bags?
The super cute designs!! They definitely stand out at the gym and crag. (Plus, you won't get your mixed up with anyone else's!)
